The surgery went well but it is the post surgery care that was terrible. Staff went through many different machines (iv, heart monitor, the one for the legs) before finding good ones and some failed while being used during her stay. Then medicine was given to her early in the morning and she almost died. Many of the staff told her so. She doesn't even remember that day, thats how out of it she was. She had to stay an extra day before they released her. If it wasn't for the pulmonary tech doing his post surgery check (late in the afternoon) who knows what have happened. He came in and checked her oxygen and found it at 37. He alerted the floor staff and they all came in. The floor staff tried to wake her up during this time but she was so medicated that she did not wake up. Thinking about it now, no doctor were called or came to see her during this time. No one questioned why she was sleeping most of the day and never checked her oxygen or pulse all day. The staff hardly came in that day just to give her medication and then leave. She was supposed to be up and walking that day but she was out because of the medications. But no one seemed concerned. She finally came to that night where she was awake and able to understand what happened. After all of that she was put on a monitor that was being watched all the time. And the floor staff was more attentive to her needs. And to top all of this i found a moldy roll in her meal.

If you have to stay here make sure you have someone with you in the room to speak for you and watch you. Make sure they speak up if something seems wrong.

a week has passed by, for me emailing lovlace as they requested from my review.. And no reply back from them. Probably a scam so they can look like they where concerned since the majority of the reviews are 1 stars or less. If this hospital is your only choice have an advocate for yourself. And if you can choose another hospital.
