After reading many negative reviews I felt compelled to leave one myself. I just adopted a dog here and could not be happier! I drove 2 1/2 hours from home to adopt after communicating with Anna for a few weeks. Yes, it did take a couple of weeks for my application to get approved and make arrangements to make the trip from Sebastian, FL however, I do know that all my referenced were called and that the I was thoroughly checked out. Obviously, they want to make sure their dogs are not placed in terrible homes as most of them were just rescued from bad situations. To anyone complaining about the process... EVERYONE HERE IS A VOLUNTEER!!! They have full-time jobs, lives, kids, and still find time to donate massive amounts of time and money to help these dogs. Unless you are willing to do the same, you have absolutely no right to complain. It was evident that the dogs here were happy, well-cared for, the place was clean and the volunteers delightful. Thank you again so much Paws2Care, I will send you photos now and again of ChiChi as I know how much you love her and am grateful to add her to our family.
