My advice is to be VERY careful with what they tell you and double check the detail on everything.

Our experience was a concern and very much a surprise as we expected a much higher level of integrity from this company than we found.

Looking to buy a 2015 Mercedes SL500 we test drove the car which was advertised as new and reported to have a full service history, be a one owner car recently traded and have 9 months new car warranty remaining.

As it turns out the car had no service history and had been recently passed in through a motor auction. Upon questioning the dealer they reported that it was common for them to interchange late model prestige cars through the motor auctions (which was a surprise to us as cars sold via auction can void the remaining new car warranty).

The more we tried to verify the cars integrity - the harder it was to communicate with the sales team - until Saturday night when an email out of the blue reported the car had been withdrawn from sale. No call, no conversation and no consideration from McCarrolls Ferrari Maserati Sydney after 3 weeks of negotiations and interstate trip.

Having tried to contact Mr Carroll or any senior member of the McCarroll Automotive Group to share my concerns resulted in a waste of time with everyone too busy and important to speak with a cash customer. The initial salesman was clearly told to call and confirm the car was withdrawn for confidential reasons and justify their behaviour.

I think this says a lot that no one in senior management could be bothered to speak with a customer to apologise for wasting so much of my time or explain why their car had to be withdraw from sale becasuse it clearly was misrepresented. (When management go into hiding - you know they are caught out.)

Mistakes or problems can occur in any organisation - it s about how the company deals with the issue.

This one was poor and came out leaving a sense of a shady used car dealer who got caught.

I certainly didn t feel like a guest in their home....

Be careful and make them verify in writing everything they say about the car - don t take their word on ANYTHING.

Product great - I m getting mine elsewhere.

Good luck.
