I came here to see The Crucible with friends and was really blown away.

I have to note the Richard Armitage was incredibly good. I've enjoyed his performances in films such as The Hobbit, but live he is another thing altogether. What a supremely talented actor. This isn't a review about Armitage though...



I think what really did it for me though was the staff. They were at all times friendly and professional. Unfortunately, towards the end of the first half my companion became unwell and had to leave the theatre. Almost immediately, we had an usher by our side to help. He got her a comfortable chair, a glass of water and asked us if we needed anything further. We did not want to leave the theatre, having friends still inside, but my friend did not feel quite well enough to go back inside. He resolved this buy setting up a television for us from which we could watch the play going on inside the theatre. This meant I didn't miss the show (which was still amazing on a television set). MASSIVE THANKS AND PROPS TO THE STAFF AT THE OLD VIC.
