I went here hoping to hate it due to its ludicrous...

I went here hoping to hate it due to its ludicrous opulence and departure from anything that resembles traditional Chinese cuisine. However, I left with a big smile on my face having had delicious food and enjoyed brilliant entertainment from the resident performers. We opted for the tasting menu which came with Peking duck (please don't add the caviar - it is utterly pointless and doesn't stand up to the powerful flavour of the duck and plum sauce), lobster, some other meat dishes and some delicious deserts. We sampled a couple of bottles of their wine list which, unsurprisingly, was a catalogue of overpriced plonk. Probably not worth the money, but a heck of a good time nonetheless.
