At first, we really liked Shavitz. We thought the salespeople were nice and helpful. But then and endless array of scheduling problems occurred. We are in the DC area for the year and needed a new furnace in our condo that we are renting out. Shavitz said they were available to install the furnace one day, but it turned out they weren't. We also instructed them (after several discussions) to install a vent in the door to our utility room. They didn't. And then they were very difficult to schedule with for a follow-up. Several months later, we are in town for the holidays. The day after Christmas, when we are between tenants, we agree to come sit in our furniture-less condo for three hours to wait for someone to come. Two hours into our service window, we get a call that they can't make it to our unit. We told them that we drove an hour and a half in order to sit in our empty condo for two hours. Apparently the only thing they can do for us is come tomorrow. Really just unacceptable. They got our money, and now they apparently couldn't care less about following through.
