Was on a getaway weekend and happened upon this neat and interesting restaurant. The outside reminded me of a place I ate at on Dauphin Island, AL. Once inside, the surroundings were very low-key and inviting. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Out waitress was very friendly and checked in on us the right amount of times.
There was a great selection of beers and wines. They also feature IPAs and other craft brewed beers and ales. They allow you a sample drink of anything on their menu. Very helpful.
The dinner menu was very diverse and interesting. You can find non-seafood fare for those who don't like seafood. I decided to not do seafood this visit. I went with the CHICKEN TCHOUPITOULAS. I don't often stray from the familiar, but this sounded great in the description. So, why not give it a try? I have to tell you, the gamble paid off! The plating of the meal was beautiful. I would have taken a picture of it, but I had eaten over half of the entree before I thought of it.
There are plenty of other great entrees and if this is any indication of the rest of the menu, it all should be excellent.
Great price for the portion and quality. Try this out.
