Where should I begin..... My wife and I have been married for 36 years. We have purchased over 30 vehicles in our lifetime. It was always a dread to have to go car hunting and deal with Dealerships that make you feel like a "barcode" or make you feel that you are subhuman and incapable of comprehending the nuances of basic finance. It never ceased to amaze me on how "used" that we would feel after our vehicle purchasing experiences.
Today, oh today, was much different (in a very favorable way). We arrived at the ALM South lot and were overwhelmed with the HUGE selections! Then we braced for the worst as we approached the front door. But there was something different. We encountered several Sales and Admin staff as we made our way to the Showroom. Each would greet us with a smile, look us in the eye, and say "Welcome, how may I help you". You see, each staff member was genuine in their greeting and actually cared about our business. We felt like "people" and NOT "barcodes". We had the sincere pleasure of meeting and interfacing with Mr. Shannon and Mr. Stacy (senior leadership at ALM South). These Gentlemen exuded genuineness, compassion and a spirit of servitude. They were very interested in our experience as we were meeting with our Sales Professional Tyrone (by the way Ty is a Rock Star and so is Ms. Iran). Mr. Rashad also waved his magic wand and got us an unbelievable rate & term! Kudos Sir!
One principally important thing that I have not mentioned is that we were upside down (negative equity) in our trade-in and we have a very conservative budget for the monthly payments. Mr. Stacy reassured us "we are going to make this happen". Of course my wife and I were very skeptical having heard these words many times before from "other" dealers. We were actually planning on what we were going to do once we got confirmation that the deal was DEAD. But there was just something different about these folks; again seemed so genuine and empathetic. Well long story short it HAPPENED! We left the dealership in our Beautiful 2014 Truck at we purchased from ALM South, smiling ear to ear!
The reason that I invested so much time in writing this heart felt review is that I felt an overwhelming compellation to recognize EXCELLENCE in an industry that is typically not synonymous with that word. I honestly felt like family today at ALM South. I was Accepted. I was Appreciated. I was Welcomed. I was liked. Not for my business, but because of who I was; a human being. I am a real person and this review was NOT solicited in any way by ALM South, nor did I receive any compensation for this review. Don t believe me? E-mail or call me and I will speak the same truth.
Mr. Shannon I am a firm believer that EVERTHING rises and falls on Leadership. My experience today as well as the professional and (unusually) courteous staff that you have assembled, all owe you a debt of gratitude for your Leadership, commitment to Excellence and refusal to NOT settle for any level of mediocrity, anywhere, anytime, with any one. You Sir are a man of true integrity and character!
