My only issue with Longleat Centre Parcs really let my holiday down and as such I would not return. The distance of our Lodge to any facilities and my car was beyond reasonable. I have stayed at 2 other Centre Parcs in the past & this was not an issue. Yes my car or any facilities was not on the doorstep of the lodge at these either (more reasonable 15-20mins) and I expect to walk at Centre Parcs. However a walk to the pool at Longleat with 2 small children was 30-35 minutes, while the car was 40-45 minutes away from our Lodge. So a trip to the pool loses an hour of your day and a day trip out side Centre Parcs in the car adds a 90minute round trip on your day. In fact this stopped us exploring Longleat like we had at previous Centre Parcs as the children were worn out before we had even arrived anywhere. This meant they did not even get to enjoy any of the playgrounds and pool time was limited as the long journey back to the lodge had to be factored in. We tried the Land Train but this was no better - Less walking but just as much time as it takes the long route. This wasn't helped by road works all week so the train could not stop at some stops. The most frustrating part is that all these issues could be so simply resolved with land trains & buses running anti clockwise round the outer edge of the park rather than just clockwise. Also a second car park for those staying in Fir area.

The accommodation was as per any other Centre Parcs. Clean, tidy and well equipped. The pool was excellent, full of slides, rides, caves and rocky areas. But all this you can expect at other Centre Parcs.
Also the Plaza is not as well laid out or as interesting as other parks we have been to.

All in all it is usual Centre Parcs fair but the size & layout really did spoil our break. Be aware if you have small children or elderly! If you want to go Centre Parcs I would recommend it... Just not Longleat.
