Went there after my destination wedding in my dres...

Went there after my destination wedding in my dress, after having booked reservations from months before. We were an expected party of four following a wedding on the mountain on an early Thursday evening. No surprises.
We arrived on time. The manager, a very handsome man, appeared annoyed and unfriendly, and he made the four of us sit and wait outside for approximately 30 minutes after our reservations were scheduled months in advance.
It was a warm day.
Eventually, we were seated in the promised corner booth I had requested from months before. (I even made a stop at the restaurant 3 days before my wedding, right after landing in Jackson, to ensure they had all of our information and everything was in order. The restaurant and layout of the decor is actually quite beautiful and rustic.)
Starting off, our waiter was rather rude about my request for a frozen drink...after I was warm from having sat outside, not to mention being a bride, on easily one of the most meaningful days of my life. Our waiter made no effort to try and ask the bartender about my request. Even my husband commented, and found this disturbing. We made the best of it, but it ended up being a less than friendly experience.
It would not have costed the manager anything to invite us in, out of the heat to wait inside, even at the bar, and it would not have costed our waiter anything to act a little more friendly toward a visiting wedding party of four.
We were a quiet and polite small group of people.
I booked this restaurant on the basis of Giada De Laurentiis' recommendations regarding their menu and charm.
The food we ordered was good.
We still remember this encounter, though, from the day we were all there. We sure did not feel very welcome.
Where I come from, it's a choice you make to be friendly and welcoming, or not.
