Recently the engine seized up in my 2015 Kia Sportage and I had it towed to JTs Kia of Columbia for repair. Apparently it is a common issue because it was fixed at no charge to me under some campaign they have. Cool. After they had my car for 3 weeks. I got it back and some of the components weren't working properly (door lock/fob and heated seat issues). These things were working perfectly when my car died. At my appointment today they told me that they did not touch these parts to replace my engine. I don't expect that they did, but when my engine seized it shorted the starter and it seems like a couple of other things as well. Of course they want $700+ dollars to fix it in addition to the $147 Diagnostic fee I had to pay. Ridiculous. Will not go back here again!!! And I spoke with the Service Manager Justin while I was there. He was no help at all!!!
