Never, ever use this company or any other Expedia affiliate.

We also thought we were booking directly with the hotel. We later learned that reservations.com pays to be the first search result and the hotel is unable to get it changed unless reservations.com chooses not to renew.
In our case, we were charged for several nights, instead of the single night we actually stayed. Reservations.com and Expedia basically played ping pong with my dispute, despite assistance from the hotel. Reservations.com appears to have no live customer service, chat only, and the wait to speak with a human at Expedia is hours long. There is even a wait to chat with a virtual agent. Don't bother in the event of a improper charge. Just cut to the chase, and dispute the charge with your credit card issuer.
The term "Kafkaesque" is overused, but an apt description of the Expedia experience.
