The water park is the best part of Fort Rapids. The staff are polite and the water park area was clean. The lifeguards were very attentive. My kid had a great time, though was disappointed that one of slides was closed. I do think they should enforce a "swim diaper" policy for young kids. Part of the pool had to be closed when a guest pointed out a floater.

The hotel, on the other hand, was a bit of a disaster. Our room was dirty. There was toothpaste smeared on the wall, food stuck in the air conditioning vent, and worst of all, I killed a roach climbing up the wall. We slept with the bathroom light on that night.

We originally purchased a Groupon for our stay, but Groupon cancelled our transaction a week before our trip. They sold us a package with water park passes for a time when the water park would not be open. Groupon claims the hotel did not inform them of this and the hotel claimed they were unaware Groupon would be selling passes for that time. We ended up booking through the hotel directly - I would not buy a Groupon Getaway again, but I wouldn't stay here again unless we got a special.
