Still a great place to visit after being open for over 15 years!
We used Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for our visit. This made it a super cheap day out. After deciding to have lunch at the Castaways cafe at the top of the stairs we were pleasantly surprised by the prices. Very reasonable and the food was lovely.
The exhibits are excellent with well cared for specimens in every display. There are sharks, rays, turtles and many other aquatic species to see. Let's not forget the Gentoo Penguins as well. Always funny and so cute!
There are also some interesting exotic animals to see including leaf-cutter ants, hissing cockroaches and a variety of amphibians.
My only criticism is that the place is a bit grubby in places. It could definitely do with a a bit of a spring clean. Don't let that put you off though as it's still a really good day out.
