I am very disappointed with the SAMSUNG A70 cell phone that I purchased at B & H last year as well as with the customer service .
Around 4 weeks ago my phone SAMSUNG A70 suddenly stopped working, it simply froze. I was not able to restart it, all icons disappeared, then all of the sudden I saw camera option on the screen that didn't respond to pressing on it, then everything disappeared again. On the screen there was only factory provided screen image. The phone froze for around 6 hrs. I didn't use this phone and still don't use it for playing games nor for listening music at all. Ok a few days ago my phone SAMSUNG A 70 froze again, it simply stopped working, I couldn't shut it off, I couldn't restart it, I couldn't use camera, simply not working, except there was screen image without any icons. This time it was 9 pm, I was on the parking lot by the bike trail in the remote area by the back road in South-West part of NJ. I was not able to call 911, not able to use GPS to come back to NY. I didn't know how to come back to NY since I always use GPS. I was lucky that day because my wife was with me and I could use GPS of her iPhone to come back to NY. Samsung A70 started working again 6 hrs or more later. What if I was alone there???? Most likely I would spend the night in the car in that parking lot waiting till the morning. Today I contacted the store and explained customer service rep my problem as well I spoke with the manager of the customer service Mr Miles. Automated service stated that waiting time for customer rep is 56 min or to leave my number so the store will call me. The same long time of waiting was around 4 weeks ago when I contacted store when SAMSUNG A70 malfunctioned for the first time, So I told them also that I have heart condition and I had 2 open heart surgeries so I need this phone in case of emergency as well I need this phone to be in touch with my employer - my employer to be able to connect with me. So Mr Miles told me that since it is over 30 days from the date of purchase I have to bring the phone to the store, then SAMSUNG A70 will be sent to manufacturer for the repair and I will have to wait for my phone without any substitute phone. Really ???? Mr Miles suggested that during this time I can use someone else phone. I asked whose phone? Can I use your phone? He answered that he needs his phone and that B & H store can not provide me with another phone for the time my phone is being repaired......In my opinion this store doesn't stand up for their products nor is taking care of customers. Given described above situation and MY condition I can not accept the way B & H has been handling my case. Stay away from this place and from SAMSUNG A70 phones. The are very quick to take your money but after that they claim store policy -as mentioned above which is not acceptable.
