I can't say enough about this practice. The kindness, compassion, expertise and professionalism among every person I've encountered at Metropolitan has been second to none. We found this practice after a house fire that injured our dog. He was treated for smoke inhalation and made a full recovery. He later developed pancreatitis and bladder cancer and after exploring our options with the specialist, we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved pitbull. Everyone went out of their way to assist and comfort our family. They called a few days later to check in and see how we were coping.

We later adopted two rescue pitbulls. Sugar was treated at Metropolitan for urinary tract infection. And last week our dog Kane was choking on a piece of bone that had broken off as he was chewing it. We rushed him into Metropolitan and he was taken back immediately. The front desk ladies offered us coffee, snacks, and tried to ease our worry while the vet was working on our dog. He must've swallowed the bone on the way to the hospital because his airway was clear by the time he was examined. We were given two options: do nothing as it seemed there was no longer an obstruction. Or Xray to verify that the bone was gone. We chose to have him sedated and X-rayed as a precaution. The price was reasonable, the procedure and aftercare instructions were explained thoroughly and we have a healthy, happy doggo. I only wish this office provided regular veterinary care, but understand why they don't. We will continue to bring our dogs for specialty/emergency care in the future. Excellent veterinary care!
