Awful service and quality.
Group of six went for afternoon tea at the Harbour Hotel & Spa; from the word go we were ignored by the restaurant staff, no welcome to the restaurant, very slow and inattentive service, often with a bad attitude. After prompting we managed to get drink menus and service. Food presentation and quality was way below expectations; accommodation for vegetarians was meet with a total rulctance to offer an alternative (even after the waitress asked for any dietary requirements), portion sizes of sandwiches were far too small for six adults, and the macaroon served to us was totally smashed, also food plates and stands were covered in cobwebs! (We have pictures of this!). No atmosphere in the restaurant, with no background music playing. Some small saviour from the second waiter who took over (kudos to him trying to save the day), but the damage was already done. Save yourself some money and go find an alternative cream tea at one of the many other places along the coast, just not worth the awful service and quality at Salcombe Harbour Hotel & Spa.
