We have enjoyed the Herrie XXL package here, including dinner and breakfast. Upon inquiry, the name of this package appeared to be due to a visit by TV chef Herman den Blijker. Perhaps partly due to his advice, there is now a modern hotel restaurant, with spacious rooms, fully equipped. The staff is friendly and attentive. The bar is cozy. Minuses: the minibar was present but not filled. The room had to be paid in advance. The dinner was adequate but not refined. Too salty and too greasy, no warm brown rolls beforehand, but cold, white baguette. The same goes for breakfast. Some extra care and attention, for example in the form of fresh orange juice, warm bread straight from the oven and some jars of home-made jam, would make a big difference.
