My wife and I are very disappointed in the direction Boulder Lake management is going with this once beautiful piece of property. The parking lot was very user friendly prior to the large rock piles and closed off areas. The trails are the biggest disappointment. Several areas are logged off in a very environmentally unfriendly manner, and many of the existing trails are ungroomed and growing in with poplar sapplings. The trails were always so well groomed and mowed until the last few years, and the lack of maintenance is really beginning to take it's toll. What a shame such a gem is being neglected.
