Darryl Stead Review of Eden Project
We queued to drive into the parking area, got out ...
We queued to drive into the parking area, got out of the car and queued to get a shuttle bus to the entrance then queued to buy a ticket to get in then queued to get in. Once in we walked in procession around the place as there were to many people to walk freely. The Biomes were horrid, queuing our way through them rather than being able to walk at leisure and take it in. For lunch we queued, there were some activities but big queues. There wasn't really much to do. It has charity status which I think is unfair on other commercial attractions. Eden gets extra income from the taxman on already overpriced tickets. There's no innovation, no new thinking just regurgitation of other peoples hard work - it is a commercial tourist attraction and shouldn't get a tax break. All the while there was an army of staff politely smiling at us as we queued and made our way through the place, shuffling along in a moronic procession hoping to stumble upon something engaging. What a waste of a day.
