I was never inclined to believe that a clothing store could be a place I would want to return even when I didn't need clothes. But Vert & Vogue is truly something special. All of the staff have impeccable taste, intelligence, good humor, and a light sales touch. (By "light" I mean that one feels attended to and supported rather than badgered.) They have clearly created an atmosphere to inspire customer loyalty. It is impossible to be in the store and feel anything but elated. I think the air vents pipe in nitrous oxide. The clothes I leave with receive compliments from strangers, are easy to care for, and feel as comfortable as pajamas. (While they sell clothes from several designers, the Vert & Vogue brand shirts are my favorite brand.) Thank you, Nadira and Ryan, for your amazing creation that enriches Durham!

[UPDATE] One more observation after a few years of V&V clothes: They are excellent for travel. Clothing made this well is durable but lightweight, perfect for layering, and easy to hand wash and drip dry during a long trip. And Nadira and Ryan's good taste assures that you will not stick out as an American tourist wherever you go.
