City Ford must be great in servicing and repairing but my experience in buying a new car has been mediocre and unremarkable.
I visited the dealership on a Friday (great selling by the sales person) and decided to purchase a brand new vehicle; singed the contract, paid the deposit and enquired for financing. I was told I would receive financing quote via email that same day.
Nothing came so on Monday morning I called, re-explained my purchase and got promised a quote in a matter of minutes. Nothing. Called again at midday and re-explained again, but still nothing. Called a third time in the afternoon, re-explained the whole thing again despite speaking to the same person all 4 times and finally I got the quote in the form of an email saying Hey and 3 numbers. Rate, repayment and months. Not a thank you nor an acknowledgement of purchasing a new car. Then I was told to collect the car on Wednesday. Being a bit of a special moment I brought my family and got to dealer in the afternoon. The car was not even registered and nobody thought of calling me during the day; wasted half day of annual leave and left unimpressed.
So all in all I felt irrelevant to them and the buying a new car experience has been so unremarkable I have better memories of shopping at a groceries store.
