An absolutely beautiful place from the lobby to the grounds, full of a rich history and aura. It has a very authentic Hawaiian vibe to it. The staff were hospitable and give out chocolate coins each night, at least in the room where I stayed. The location and the view was perfect too. Pool options were poor and the Mailani Tower breakfast was basic, like the stuff you see in the two- and three-star chain hotels. The breakfast restaurant is definitely overpriced, but worth trying once for the pink pancakes as those were delicious.
