One of my God daughters witch is a DIDI twin that was born at 27 weeks was brought in by her mother. That was admitted for have the Rhinovirus and was having problems breathing. I feel horrible because I referred her to the same hospital that my daughter that had CP. My daughter gets all her services at your hospital. I am extremely disappointed in this hospital. From the time she got there they have had nothing but problems. From letting her go hungry for hours, putting tubes down her throat wrong. Nurses have no bed side matter, no empathy to not having no compassion at all for the parents. In this stressful situation. The mother and father was extremely uncomfortable with even leaving the child alone in the Nicu because of the unprofessional treatment that was happening
The male respiratory therapists being extremely ruff and when the father tried to express his concern about his daughter the male respiratory therapist became extremely combative. He had no empathy at all. Then the night shift head nurse Had the never to have the parents put out over a personal disagreement. The father left willingly. But that wasn't good enough. The head nurse forced the mother to leave. The head nurse was rude, Inconsiderate and disrespectful. She was unwilling to let the mother show her the exact way to make daughters bottles that her Pediatricians request. Then she tried to tell her she couldn't see her daughter for 48 hours. Which isn't going to happen. Because she hasn't been alone not once and because of the unprofessional treatment from the bringing. Then when the mother ask to have the paper work inregaurds to having her daughter transferred. She been asking to have her daughter transferred to Rock Mountain children's hospital because that is where the were born. And they know exactly what is going on with them. The head nurse denied her any information concerning the transfer. The hospital security even intervened asking the head nurse just to give her the information that she need. Then escorted out. Sadly having to leave one of her didI twin alone with unprofessional, inconsiderate, disrespectful nurses and staff. That made her feel unsafe to leave her daughter under the care of the Nicu nurses and staff alone.
I'm honestly rethinking my daughter's care at your hospital. I'm truly heartbroken that this happen to her at your hospital. That I spoke so highly of. I hope you can find way to help with bedside matters.
