The only reason this is a 4 is because of the CROWDS. Not sure how or why they structured it in a way that literally makes everyone wait forever before buying tickets, entering the castle grounds, entering each room.

I swear, there's too many people there to ever enjoy anything. You follow a pretty straightforward visit path and it gets clogged up because of so many people.

Also the free audioguide is kinda weird because it sounds like every sentence is a question or sometimes they just abruptly stop talking and that's your cue to change rooms.

But even with all that the palace is GORGEOUS. I mean it's GRAND. We didn't have time to do the whole thing but what I did see was just extraordinary.

The highlight for me though was the gardens! Those are worth it completely. Usually they are free but now they have fountain shows so it's 8.50 euro. Worth it though, it's gigantic! You won't have time to see it all but you'll love how beautiful it is. There is a suggested route and although the map is a bit confusing, I do believe it's your best option to see the most if you're pressed on time. Also since it is so enormous, you will see other people but it won't be at all as occupied as the castle.
