Yellowstone National Park is the oldest National Park in the United States. It is vast and beautiful.I saw hundreds of buffalo, elk, mule deer, mountain goats, ospreys, and hawks. The geography changes dramatically as you drive through the park. Of course, Old Fathful geyser is a must do. There are numerous geothermal features in the park. It is worth a drive to cross over the mountain and see Lamar Valley. Which is by far where I saw the most wildlife. Unfortunately The lodges are extremely expensive and provide very little by means of comfort and amenities. If I ever go back to Yellowstone, I would rather rent an RV and stay in the campground.
