Second visit to this store. First time there was an older guy there, I would have guessed was the owner. He was very helpful and friendly, definitely made me feel happy to spend my money there. This time I pretty much expected the same. I walked behind another patron that held the door for me, thanked him and walked into the store. As I walked in, I noticed he was greeted by the store personnel and it seemed like I was ignored. I stood awkwardly at the counter when a store clerk asked if I needed help. I explained why I was there and was told another clerk would have to help me because he was performing or taking some kind of test.
After finishing my primary business I needed some additional information. I was ultimately told the person that could answer my question would be with me shortly. 10-15 minutes later, still standing awkwardly at the counter I was told they would check on this other person he may have forgotten or was really busy. After he returned I was told this person was holding shotgun parts precariously and couldn t let go. I ve taken apart many a weapon and put them back together in less time than it took for me to stand there the 10-15 mins. I can only assume this person I was waiting on was going to make me wait longer, so I just left.
I am a veteran, self employed and pay my taxes. I help my community. I probably make more money and own more property than all of the clerks working there combined. Yet I feel like they all were either afraid or just didn t like me being there. They were plenty courteous to other patrons but not so much to me. I just don t understand why. In the end life s too short if I live to 150 years old to really care. It s just sad that only certain people are entitled to courtesy when they are spending their money. I wish the older gentleman that waited on me the first time I was there would have been available.
The store is nice enough and the clerks do seem knowledgeable, but maybe they don t like veterans . (obviously there was no way they could have known I was a veteran)

The owner reached out to me and sincerely wants to know the circumstances involved. Jeff Bezos would never do that! Thanks Pat!
