Doris Schioberg Review of Lawrence Hall of Science

We come here a lot, either early after opening or an hour before closing when it's not so crowded. It is a very nice kids science museum, not as big as the Exploratorium but also less touristic. It has some quirks, like the awesome water play installation outside, but then kids are not allowed to step into the water. The food could be better. Little things like that. But then again the funding is tight and everyone involved does an amazing job to make everything work, especially the students from Cal explaining things to the kids, helping with the hands on exhibitions. They also come to the local schools and hold little science fairs, contributing in great ways to education. If your donation budget has still room, consider LHS. And don't miss the Dino bones in the basement.
