Please believe, you can not be too old or too young for the Exploratorium. The target demographic seems to be "human", but perhaps there was a pet exhibit I missed and the appeal is even broader than I expect. We took my nephew here most recently and spent the better part of our day taking in only a quarter of this sprawling wonderland of science lessons disguised as toys and exhibits. Our particular favorite was a booth where you and a friend sit on opposite sides of a two-way mirror and adjust lighting to eerily merge your faces together. This exhibit, like many, has to be seen to be properly appreciated. Young or old, if you need an escape from your day-to-day this is the place to get lost for a while.
