Wanted 2 WIFI AP's changed. Job might be two hours (and that is giving an hour and a half for set up, the actual install can't be more than 15 minutes), and 1.5-2 hrs travel time (each way). Our quote? $14,000. For maybe, mayyybe six hours of work & travel. Even for top of the line Ubiquiti or Meraki that is way out the ball park of anyone else. Everyone I spoke to was polite but shop around, were over double of other quotes. After posting my review I was contacted by the company for a follow up, which was appreciated. I could certainly understand that there may have been crossed wires concerning the scope of the project during the initial consultation call, but when I got the call back with the quote I specifically asked what work they thought I had requested and made it very clear at that time what I was looking to have done. There was no suggestion of 'let me look at this again then and get back to you with a new quote' the salesperson doing the call back actually told me I'd be better off to shop around. Maybe is just a communication issue over there between the people doing the calls and those pricing the work - perhaps some continuity & only have one person handle each case to ensure understanding would help.
