This is a fantastic experience. From the staff who speak English to the incredibly enthusiastic tea master, this tour is a must do for masters and novices of tea.

The tour begins with an overview of the area, the specific tea farm, and some tastings. This is followed by a trip into the tea fields and some stunning vistas. Then the various tea cultivation methods are shown.

The next stop is in the processing house where the leaves become tea as we know it.

The provided lunch is delicious and locally sourced. This lunch is followed by an interactive tea tasting where the staff show how to properly make tea and we get to make sencha and macha.

The entire time, the staff are really helpful about answering questions (I had a bunch), and everyone is so happy and hospitable. Many employees are "interns" from all around the world who are developing their tea knowledge.

This was the highlight of my trip to Japan and I recommend this to any traveler. Great group activity
