I brought my 2006 4 runner in for maintenance last week. This was one of the worst mechanical experiences I have ever had, and I will not be returning. This location is close to my office so I thought it would be convenient to drop off my 4 runner then take the shuttle to work. This part was fine, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was the rest that was wasn't so good.
I received no communication about my vehicle all day. I even went to the shop my self in the middle of the day to check on progress, but nobody was able to help me. I then got a call at the very end of the day saying it was done, and the van showed up to pick me up. When I went in, there was a list of things identified as needing service, a lot of which were under $50, wipers, burnt out bulbs, ect, but when I asked they said I would need to leave it with them another full day to get this done. The bigger issues, the ones I brought it to get checked, were identified but when I asked for details, like how much or how long, nobody could answer. Begs the question "what was the point?"
Basically I spend $222 getting an oil change. I could have taken it to Mr Lube for $60 got the same thing, and they would have changed my wipers and replaced the burnt out bulb without me having to bring it back and leave it another day.
