I would just like to take a moment to thank South point Toyota for their great service for my vehicle. Late evening on July 27 My family and I were on our way home from Medicine Hat when MY 2012 Tacoma lost all power and a check engine light came on on the dash. I was able to limp the last ways home and get my code reader to check what the code was for. Turned out there were a few codes that had to do with the Secondary Air Injection Valve system. After doing some research on the internet I discovered that the probable causes of the codes were the valve or air pump. replacing these is a little out of my ability as far as mechanical work goes so i contacted South Point Toyota to get a Quote for the parts and installation. When I talked to Melissa Tulk She informed me that there was actually a warranty extension on some of the parts for this system In certain situations, She also informed me that ta technician would have to take a look to make sure the vehicle qualified then they would need to order parts, which could take up to a week due to current supply issues.. So i Got My truck there on July 29 in the evening after closing time and hoped for the best. The following morning Melissa contacted me through text ( my preferred contact method) and let me know that she had my keys and would keep me posted on the status of the truck and warranty situation. around noon she contacted me again to let me know that not only did the truck qualify for the warranty extension but they had received the parts in stock and would have my truck back by 5 o'clock that evening! I can't express how much of a life saver this for me and my family. we were looking t possibly having to spend thousands of dollars and ended up getting everything done for nothing! Thanks So much to all the staff in parts and service for saving the day. But especially Melissa - thanks you are a super star!
