A waking nightmare......I purchased the extended warranty and when trying to get work done on my camper, which was clearly needed, Camping World told me to go to the manufacturer because it looked like the camper was assembled wrong from the beginning. 'What did I get the warranty for then?' So I finally decided to cancel my extended warranty after having it for a year. Even though I feel like I was swindled into getting the warranty, I was assured that I could cancel and be issued a pro-rated refund at any time, However, I found a nightmare was awaiting me. It took 9 months of letters, phone calls, certified mailed letters, a power of attorney, and almost pursuing legal action before I finally got my extended warranty refund. The last 3 months, I have probably called an average of twice a week about the refund. When they did finally issue the warranty, they sent the check not to the main office of the financial institution I received the loan thru, but a small branch office located in a retirement community not even close to where I told the to mail it to. That branch was only open 3 hours a day! In addition, they wrote my account number wrong on the check! What was funny was they asked for my account number because they said sometimes these checks got lost! 'Yeah, because you mail them to the wrong place and can t do your job right!' As a result of the 9-month long nightmare, I will never step into another Camping World ever again. Just hearing the name Camping World gives me a shiver down my spine. This is a very crooked company, from the top to bottom. I once enjoyed shopping at Camping World, but now it is the last place on earth I will ever set foot in again. I finally did get y money back, but not the full amount I should have received. Because the first letters were not sent certified mail, they were never received . In my entire life, I've never felt more taken advantage of and degraded by a company than with Camping World.
