Good for kids and very hands on with lots of thing...

Good for kids and very hands on with lots of things to demonstrate all sorts of scientific principles, but less so for adults. $70 for a family ticket is a bit steep. I'd have been inclined to perhaps drop the kids and check out the National Library, National Gallery or National Portrait Gallery which are all nearby.
