Turned Away at 12:30am even with paid reservation through AmEx Luxury Resorts - I arrived at the front desk to be told the Four Seasons hotel was sold out even though I had a paid and guaranteed reservation through American Express Luxury Resorts. No one called me or emailed me to give me any notice or chance to change my plans. I was given the option to "walk -over" to a much lesser hotel. I do not smoke, drink or gamble and was counting on and packed for the amenities of this hotel. The night manager could not fully explain the reasoning of this situation and even had the poor judgement to robotically "thank me for understanding". Fully and completely disappointed in this hotel. What is a person supposed to when a paid and guaranteed reservation is not honored? I was not alone, other guests in the lobby were treated in the same manner. It was ultimately humiliating and embarrassing to be treated this way. I would be interested in hearing from those who read this how they would have handled this situation or if there is something I should do? I had no options and was given no acceptable choices.
