1st child, I decide to give birth at the clinic in La Muette, renowned despite the very cramped rooms at exorbitant prices ...
The preparation courses are going very well, the midwives are friendly, attentive and give us good advice.
Arrives on the day of delivery (during confinement).
The clinic decided not to allow the father to attend the delivery (which we understood) and to remain confined with us in the room during the stay, which we had more difficulty accepting especially since 'other maternities of the Ramsay group authorized it despite what the head of the maternity service could tell me, but either, we had no choice ...
I deliver by caesarean section with my very good gynecologist, Dr. Bernard Cohen.
Everything is going well until I get back to my room after I thought I was dying of cold in the recovery room (my temperature dropped to 35.7 and I had to ask for something to warm myself several times) and barely had the time to kiss my spouse who could be there for 2 hours to meet his daughter (the stretcher bearer was in a hurry that day ...).
I am made to get up at the end of the day and luckily I manage to do it, despite obviously some pain.
Will follow 3 very hard days physically and psychologically. Midwives are apparently in small numbers, very few, and one of whom I no longer have the nasty name. For example she made me remarks on how to hold my baby during breastfeeding, told me to manage on my own to change it (1st child and I had not been shown yet), refused to m '' help to put on my compression stockings because I had to learn alone (in the delivery room they got there in 2 to be able to put them on so I let you imagine the difficulty especially after childbirth, result I had a huge bruise on the scar and greater pain), refused to give me a painkiller more effective than Doliprane the day of my exit because according to her it was necessary to wean me !!! (My gynecologist prescribed it without me even asking it). And the day of the trip I had to carry all my things and my baby alone because she did not deign to help me when I was exhausted and that I had been told that a wise man -women would help me because I did not have to make any effort and that I should not wear anything for at least 15 days. I do not think that this person has already given birth by cesarean to get out of such nonsense and she would do much better to change profession.
I'll give you all the details, but I came home more than exhausted.
In short in the end very very very bad memories and I will not set foot there, containment or not.
