Worst camp experience ever. Because it's one of few full service camps in south shore it stays afloat well. Here are my criticisms
1) my son entered camp late and NO effort was made to integrate him. He knew one kid in the group barely. He's a social kid but the kids already had established friendships and some kids were entirely loners. The counsellors were no help.
2) group leader super nice but ineffective. Camp leader awful the owner. Terrible soul. Doesn't understand how important camp is. Also thought his savings for 2 weeks off was insulting.
3) camp is SO overpriced esp compared to camps elsewhere with more activities
4) swim instruction a joke
5) sports instruction an even bigger joke. Your kids skills will NOT improve here.
6) how many different sports do you introduce? How can anyone enjoy that way?
7) art was so lame. Dollar store projects. Oriental trading junk. Why bother.
8) camp has NO nature.
9) buses awful. Long ride though for some probably a plus
10) food was ok according to son but he didn't like being pressured to eat what was on menu versus alternative. Isn't that what alternative is for?
