What an absolutely stunning palace. Tips: buy your tickets in advance online and select a time. Buy a ticket for zones 1 and 2 when you're in Paris and Versailles is at the end of zone 2. It's a little bit of a walk from the metro station to the palace but it's not bad. You absolutely need to get the audio guide and take your time going through the halls. This place will absolutely fill up so buy your tickets and select a time period. Also if you want to save money, there is a McDonald's that you pass walking to the palace. Way cheaper than buying food on site.
