I live in Libertyville, which is a good 45 minutes to an hour away from Northtown Auto in McHenry. The reason I take my car there is, first and foremost, because of Carlos Contreras, their Service Director. I have taken my car to wherever Carlos works for the last few years because I always get good, honest service, which is both invaluable and rare, in today's world of fast deals and shoddy workmanship. However, after visiting Northtown, my reasons for taking my car there multiplied. Firstly, it's an excellent space with knowledgable employees, all of whom are engaging and understand cars.

Secondly, It's a small business. As a small business owner myself, I feel that there is a special desire to do right by the customer when you patronize places like this. Northtown does not disappoint in this regard. They have excellent customer service and a nice waiting area while your car gets worked on.

Thirdly, the prices are reasonable. I don't know anyone that WANTS to bring their car in to get serviced. For me, I equate it with going to the dentist. It's generally unpleasant, but necessary. As such, I think it's fair to say that I am not my best self when I have to bring my car in, but I am always grateful for the pleasant demeanor and excellent knowledge that I am met with when I walk through the doors.

I will continue to bring my vehicle to Northtown and recommend it to anyone who can get there to service theirs.
