Unpleasant experience
Despite buying the tickets in advance we had to wait for 3 hours. Everywhere, there were queues, toilets, restaurant...The queues are haphazard
When you arrive at Versailles, there is very little information on where to go, which queue to join, hardly any staff to give you advice. They don't do anything to make the wait pleasant. They could learn a thing or two from Le Grand Palais, they even had a musician there to entertain us.
Eventually at 3pm we got in. It was so crowded. We felt like cattle, really not like we were in a palace. And at 5pm, they inform you in every language possible it is time to leave. It is the only time, you get any kind of information.
Why do they let so many people in at the same time?
It is the last time I go to visit Versailles. This is not worth the money nor the time.
There are so many places to visit in Paris where you will enjoy the experience and feel exhilarated. Versailles is not one of them.
