Nikita Yavorsky Review of Coserv

When I see CoServ's abysmal ratings online the first thing I think is: "Oh, other energy companies probably also have really bad reviews." But nope. People actually seem to be happy with TXU, Reliant, Oncor, even Green Mountain. CoServ is the outlier. Which is odd because it's a "co-op-" company. As of writing, CoServ has 2.2 stars on Google which is double what they should have. They're pretty expensive, for starters (though at my smaller previous apartment Green Mountain was even more expensive) but the real big issue is with them being the only option for a lot of people in other areas, not just mine. So they get away with charging whatever they want. Including connection fees, absurdly high reconnection fees - because apparently flipping a switch is SO hard and the person doing it needs to be compensated $100 - and I'm not the only person here who will tell you they don't give you a notice beforehand. Their broken system isn't very good at telling you when or if payments go through or anything like that but why would it? Late fees make them money. Also, they post private information PUBLICLY to some responses on Google regarding the person who wrote that specific review, so I'm writing this from an account that doesn't use my real name. Little bit creepy on their end. Looking forward to the generic "Hi please contact us as to how we can better serve you" response
