I know there's a belief amongst some that taking your car to the dealership to get repaired is just asking to be overcharged. Sure that might be true but it might not be either.

I bring my car to the dealership for any major work because I trust that they'll take good care of my car and me. Donuts and coffee aside... the last time I went I had some major work done to the tune of $3,000. There was something else that needed to be done that I opted out of for the moment that was priced right around $300 and guess what... they fixed it anyways at no extra cost.

I may not always get things done at no extra cost but every so often they do something like this and it really makes me feel special and frankly who doesn't want to feel special when they are getting kicked in the teeth getting a car repair that's going to be needed no matter who you take your car to? Just sayin...
