I have taken my daughter to the clinics here for years, but the cost for even basic diagnostic test are extremely high. She had a cold but was checked for influenza. The influenza nasal swab cost $438.87, which was not covered by her office visit. Let that sink in - bring your kid in for a fever and a cough, and go home with that kind of a bill. The last time she had a fever like this it was after hours so we took her to king soopers in store clinic - where it cost $30 for the visit (ins. Co-pay) and $35 for the influenza test. $400 less than Childrens hospital. I'm looking into other covered clinics for her primary care now and I'm very disappointed in Childrens hospital.
