I did lab work that specifically highlighted instructions that needed to be followed by my doctor. I am several days out from having done the work, which should have been sent in same day and my doctors have tried several times to get the information from the hospital because this is time sensitive information I need and I cannot get it. I called and asked for the information myself and she said it was a violation of hippa for me to get my own information even though I am the patient. I am so entirely unimpressed with the lack of professionalism in getting the information where it was supposed to be sent. I also should be able to get access to my own lab information, the operators do not know the law.
