I will never not recommend the Renn fest. The theme weekends are always a blast, even if you don't attend in costume. The shops sell some really cool and unique stuff, and the quality of that stuff is very high. Many shops offer lifetime guarantees, and quickly replace items v that do break.

My first Renn was about 5 years ago. My wife, my sister, and 3 friends went together, and we were all instantly regulars. The food is amazing, the drinks reasonably priced and readily available, and the shows are awesome; definitely check out the falconer.

Three years ago, we went on the weekend after Thanksgiving, the final weekend of the year. It was cold and drizzly, so the crowd was small; it was awesome. The whole ambiance of the park was really cool, the entertainers were able to give more individual attention to their audiences, and lines were short. What I'm saying is that bad weather is actually a Pro if you're thinking about going.
