As we were picking a venue for our wedding, a couple of friends suggested La Maquette Restaurant. After meeting Ange Kanavas, the owner, we knew we found the perfect place. Our wedding happened on May 23, 2015 and our guest list was about 145 people and we booked the whole restaurant. Ange was a godsend to us. She guided us from the beginning and acted as the "wedding planner" the day of the wedding making sure everything was in place. She was quite accomodating with our requests and made sure we had a perfect day.

Everyone was raving on how beautiful the venue was - my 9 year old nephew even wants to get married there :) We were lucky that the weather cooperated with us and we got a beautiful sunny day so we held our ceremony on the patio right by the waterfalls. It was so surreal! The location couldn't be better situated either - right across from St. James Park and steps away from St. Lawrence Market. It was perfect for our picture taking. The food was also incredible! The chicken was juicy and the salmon was cooked perfectly. We did not hear one single complaint even though there were a lot of "picky" eaters. Ange even suggested Jerry Aaron as the DJ and he was awesome! Our guests danced the whole night through. The only complaint we got after was that their feet were still hurting from dancing the night away :)

We would not change a single thing about our wedding. A lot of the guests said they felt like they were in an "oasis in an urban jungle." Thank you, Ange and the La Maquette staff, for making all our dreams come true!
