It's a cute hotel as far as design goes. In a good location, disregarding the construction and traffic. They have a heated pool which was incredible enjoying an early morning swim in October. They have a movie playing on a projector outside which doesn't exactly add any value since it doesn't have sound and it's a strange angle to tilt your head. The whole hotel is no-smoking including outside in the nice movie and bed area by the pool. If you smoke you have to go do so in your car.
The hotel layout is awkward. The elevators to the parking garage are on one side the ones to your room, another. The amenities (pool and car garage) are on one side and the elevator to your room is opposite of the check in counter so you have to cut across every single time. In PJs or bathing suit.
The hotel itself needs some remodeling. The sheets and bath robes feel old. The shower head and water temp gage needs to be tightened or changed out. The tub itself is dated and has old residue. The ceiling in the bathroom is rusted and needs to be fully taken out and updated. A slash of paint is simply not enough. I can tell that's been done. I love the club lighting concept in the elevators and the overall designer style. The parking situation is ridiculous. You pay by the hour with almost a $25 a day charge. As if you can stay at a hotel without a car. Might as well place that in your upfront cost. Tons of hidden fees, so go ahead and add an additional $90 to your hotel budget. This maybe am overall Houston issue.
Overall it was an okay stay, the gym is really nice! There is even stocked up fruit in the refrigerator for guests to enjoy. They have really nice equipment, medicine balls, olypticals, and a fun punching bag. Recommend staying here keeping my points in mind, room for improvement
