I had a catastrophic engine failure on my 2014 WRX. At the time of purchase I did get the extended warranty which I am now thankful for. My car died on a Thursday afternoon on the way home from work, needless to say the car did NOT make it to Mike Shaw. I called right away and they gave me the number to their tow company. Within 45mins they were there. I got the car to the dealer within 10mins of closing time. Chris was kind enough to listen, get the car checked in, paper work started and get me a loaner. Walked me through the steps and rougjly how long the process would take. Following afternoon at the time promised I got a call explaining what happened and what the following steps would be. Approval from SNA took three days as said and expected. Once it was aprroved within ten days I had a new engine. Got the run down of what needed to be done for break in and when the next oil change needed to be done. All in all a very smooth painless process. Chris again did a great job of explaining everything and time tables. About the only thing I can gripe about is the oil change due at 1000miles that I have to pay for. I had a catastrophic engine failure with less than a thousdand miles on the current oil change yet I have to come back again in another thousand miles and pay for the oil change for an engine replacement that was at no fault of my own. The service department at Mike Shaw Subaru is second to none! If you want your car running smoothly and warrenties to be honored go to Mike Shaw Subaru!
