The Texas renaissance festival is a huge gathering with so much to see and do. You can eat all kinds of delicious food see animals including elephants, camels, and horses. Tons of old time shops with high quality wears to help with a costume to show off and have fun. You can camp out for the weekend or just go for a single day and it's fun either way. There's alcohol for you to try and shows to enjoy with a variety of acts and the people are very friendly and helpful with a few exceptions of insult comics that lounge about. If you've never been it's good exercise and an experience you won't soon forget.
